asked about Air Invert

I need help with my air invert! I can invert enough to hook my ankle on, but not enough to go all the way over into a V any tips/Advice?? Or any off pole workouts to help my progression are welcome too! Thank you

I know it sounds really obvious but I found out that I was always looking at my feet when I was trying to do this and wasn't able to tip enough to get into a V split. The moment I started tipping my head up (or rather, towards the floor) I was able to go all the way over.
Apart from that it really is a case of working on your abs and core to build up the strength, maybe by doing really slow, controlled straight leg crunches

Hi there! I would really recommend tucking your knees into your chest then opening them up, keeping your feet together. As you do this let your body lean backwards until your arms are extended. All you have to do then is open your legs into a straddle :) hope this helps x

Thanks ladies I'll give your tips a try!! =D No Becca that doesn't sound silly when I think about it I do look at the pole when I'm doing it so I should probably stop! And Annienorris I'll try with my feet together too!! Thank you! x
